Система виснет намертво

Добрый день!
Установил Ubuntu 18 и рабочее окружение LXDE. Через какое то время система виснет намертво, никакие кнопки не действуют. Комп пищит как будто бы нет оперативной памяти.
Причем, с LXDE и LXQT и на Debian такая же проблема.
Железо нормальное, процессор AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, материнка B450M-PRO-VDH-MAX, биос обновлен до предпоследней версии (последняя говорят, не работает с первыми рейзенами), БП на 750 Вт, видеокарта AMD Radeon RX 580 ARMOR
Система зависает при долгой работе с Firefox - когда часов 5 работаешь с браузером и открываешь много-много вкладок постоянно.
В windows нет никаких проблем.
Подскажите, в чем может быть дело?
