[РЕШЕНО] пользователи отличаются разрешением экрана...

Сменил разрешение экрана, перезагрузился, а частота экрана не сохранилась.
Сделал logout, разрешение экрана входа такое какое должно быть. У других пользователей тоже все в норме. Вывод: у каждого пользователя свой конфиг экрана, а где он?
Система: Ub 8.10, nVidia 5700FX.
Для смены разрешения использовал NVIDIA X Server Settings.
Теперь при каждой загрузке надо менять частоту только у одного пользователя.
Все остальные пользователи входят нормально.
Как исправить?

Вспомнил еще деталь:
После перезагрузки вылетела ошибка описанная https://forum.ubuntu.ru/index.php?topic=45622.0
Сделал:

sudo chmod -R 755 /home/aliftin
sudo chmod -R 644 /home/aliftin/.dmrc Непомогло ошибка вылетала при первой перезагрузки.
Затем: #chown -R user:user /home/user, где user — логин пользователя- по совету Shefango
вот тут и началось, ошибки больше нет как и необходимой частоты.

раскомментировал бы это

xorg.conf не причем, я его выкосил полностью оставив только самый первый, который был при установки. Затем отключил проприетарный драйвер перезагрузился, включил проприетарный драйвер опять перезагрузился. Таже история у всех ок у меня нет. похоже где-то какой-то скрипт в папке home сидит и пакостит.
Гуру взываю к вам. Помогите.

Решение найдено, я ликую.
Оказалось все просто: /home/user/.config/monitors.xml. Там меняем параметр rate на необходимый.
