Не обновляется Ubuntu 12.10

Немогу обновить Ubuntu 12.10 до 14.04 LTS

менеджер sudo update-manager -d

запускается и сообщяет о ошибке  с большим списком пакетов 404  Not Found

И что это все триндец - нужно переустанавливать Ubuntu на LTS версию или можно еще как-то решить без полной переустановки lINUX ?

i_love_windows, решить можно (теоретически), но не стоит. Вам придётся прикрутить архивные репозитории от уже неподерживаемой 12.10, обновить её, с неё обновиться до 13.04, которая тоже не поддерживается (соответственно, скорее всего вообще не обновитесь), потом пройти тот же путь до 13.10 (не поддерживается), и только потом до 14.04.

А вот оно всё надо, когда можно быстро и чисто сразу поставить 14.04.1?

Далее менеджер обновлений сообщает, что ОС устарела и необходимо обновиться до новой 13.10, но у меня 12.10, нажимаю обновить - не обновляется. На форуме по xubuntu видел, что необходимо добавить репозитории от raring и последовательно обновляться до него, потом 13.10 и 14.04.
Подскажите, нужно добавить репозитории от raring, и как это сделать? Командой:

pupiz, можно, но только на свой страх и риск. Может получиться, а может и нет. Тогда, просто поставите чистый инсталл.
