Доброго времени суток всем. На Убунте я уже давно, но вот впервые столкнулся с проблемой - никак не хочет работать видеокарта.

Драйвер установлен (сейчас - 173.08 beta), пробовал и все другие из репозитория (из 7.10 и 8.04).

Система - 8.04 с последними апдейтами (тоже самое на 7.10,до апдейта)

Ядро - 2.6.25.1 самосборное (на ядрах из репозитория - аналогично).

Суть проблемы - glxgears (я знаю, что это не бенчмарк - но всё же!) выдает от 8 до 20 фпс, при этом вся система практически висит. Компиз вообще глючит безбожно (скриншот прилепил), хотя в логах X.Org всё на месте (да и в конфиге тоже).

Что делать дальше - уже даже не знаю... Менять видео не предлагать, ноут Toshiba Satellite (модель не помню). В найденых в инете доках по ноута под линукс ничего особового а видео не сказано  :'(.

Вверху написано - пробовал разные варианты.
Товарищу, предлагающему забекапить: у меня не один сервер на линуксе. Я не дурак.
У кого-нибудь есть действенные идеи?

ОК, низкий FPS пофиксился удалением апплета deskbar :idiot2: :2funny:
Попробовал glxgears в чистых Х-ах с одной только консолью - заработало. :o

Остался баг с отрисовкой окон :-\. Особенно достает в меню и при вводе текста

update: как оказалось, 3д тормозит, если где-нибудь рисуется 2д... Может, как-то связано с ТВ-выходом? Хоть у меня он не настроен...
