Ubuntu 10.04 / network-manager зависает

Проблема такая, при запуске окна с сетевыми соединениями, никаких соединений в проводных нет, на клики мышкой окно не отвечает. Где-то через 5 минут окно отвисает, и всё работает нормально до открытия окна с настройками какого-нибудь соединения...зависает снова минут на 3-5. Первый раз избавился от этого удалив все настройки из домашней папки (кроме .mozilla, .skype, .fonts и др.) всё работало нормально, естественно снова пришлось настраивать интерфейс. Решил настроить gprs-интернет, вбил настройки, кликаю применить...опять зависает. Перезапуск не помогает, переустановка network-manager, network-manager-gnome - тоже.

Также ещё заметил, что при запуске системы иконка nm-applet не отображается, появляется через некоторое время только при наличии интернета. Скорее всего это тоже как-то связано. Если у кого есть какие-нибудь идеи, буду рад выслушать.

У меня та же проблема, network-manager стал зависать после очередного обновления системы.
Полная переустановка network-manager не помогла решить проблему.

Причем если убить процесс nm-applet по kill -s 9, и запустить этот процес от пользователя root, то network-manager работает хорошо.
Очевидно проблема в правах, так как процесс nm-applet запускается от имени моего пользователя, видимо не может производить какие-то операции с файлами.

Кто решил проблему, прошу подскажите.
