Тормозят гостевые системы в VritualBox в Ubuntu 12.04

2 ядра виртуального процессора, предел нагрузки ЦПУ 100%, PAE/NX включен

Оставьте виртуальной машине только одно ядро.

В одном ядре тоже самое, пробовал ещё отключить VT-x/AMD-V и немного гостевые системы ускорились, но после отключения теряется возможность использования 64-битных систем (максимум 32-бит) и звук в гостевой системе перестало тормозить, но игры все равно тормозят.

Ах да, насчет драйвера, у AMD часто драйвера обновляются? и не слетят опять иксы после установки проприетарного драйвера?

Смотрите логи. Иксы просто так не слетают, ищите ошибку.
