Не работает ТВ-Тюнер GOTVIEW PCI DVD2 DELUXE

Всем здравствуйте.
Kubuntu 14.04 x64 со всеми обновлениями.
Откопал вот этот старенький тюнер. Воткнул, попытался запустить - и никак.
Что уж только не пробовал: MPlayer, SMPlayer, TVTime, VLC. Всё никак.
С тюнером работаю в первый раз - так что, матчасть знаю плохо.
Вот тут, казалось бы, всё у всех работает, но уж больно форум старый: http://www.gotview.ru/olimp/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=8583. Так или иначе - не получилось.
Заранее спасибо за подсказки.
