Нужна помощь
При установке Kubuntu 8.04 на ноут не определилась PCMCIA сетевая карта SURECOM EtherPerfect-427.
В результате нет сети.
Поиск по форум и по Google ничего конкретного не дал. Все только для винды.
Куда копать дальше?

Только карта почему-то в списке не светится.
Она точно включена?

Карточка включена и при перезагрузке в винду работает в сетке нормально.
При загрузке Kubuntu - на ней на короткое время мигают светодиоды обмена (2 шт.),
после чего - мертвяк. И сетки нет.

Единственное, что приходит на ум - попробовать пересобрать ядро :)
Отпишитесь плз у кого есть работающая pcmcia сетевуха под Linuxом

Судя по приведенному Kubuntu неправильно определило тип карты, в результате не может через нее работать.
Отсюда вопросы:
1. Как вычислить модуль (драйвер) который подгружается, каким скриптом, и как заменить его на правильный?
2. Есть ли правильный модуль на эту карту SURECOM EtherPerfect-427 ?
3. Усли такого нет, какую карту купить, чтобы ее поддерживала Ubuntu/Kubuntu?

Неужели нет никого, кто бы сталкивался с ethernet card, втыкаемых в слот PCMCIA?

P.S. Попробовал PuppiRus, загрузка с ливсд.
Все отлично определилось и работает.
Так что могли дистрописатели так сломать в Ubuntu, что она определяет оборудование
много хуже, чем облегченные дистры вроде Пуппи?
