acpid грузит процессор на 100% (K)Ubuntu 8.10

laptop Toshiba Satellite L40-17T PSL48E,  система Kubuntu 8.10
стал замечать загрузку процессора на полную, проверил top, ничего аномального, загрузка не должна превышать 20-24 процентов, но кулер продолжает вертеть на полную катушку и загрузка процессора на суперкарамбе показывает 100%.
Стал проверять методом убивания процессов, выяснилось что процессор лопает acpid, после его убиения загрузка падает и принимает нормальные значения что сразу показывает кулер и соответственно виджет карамбы.
Запустил acpid -fd
прогружается сначала нормлаьно, потом идет в цикле включение asus-wireless-on

Последнее повторяется бесконечно, чем и вызывает загрузку процессора.
Сделал chmod -x /etc/acpi/asus-wireless-2.sh
Закомментировал в /etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless, /etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless-on, /etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless-off, /etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless-2 все запускаемые строчки, перегрузился - процессор стал работать нормально, wifi не отъехал   , после данных танцев все нормализовалось.
Проблему для себя решил, но хотелось бы без шаманских танцев над конфигами, потому и написал сюда.
После этого убилась возможность отключать звук быстрыми кнопками (Fn+ESC), но звук уменьшается/увеличивается по (Fn+UP/DOWN).
ИМХО проблема с быстрыми кнопками и есть, неправильное определение и обработка.
