Вот еси бы мне ктонибуть лог расшифровал что там творитсо и иззач его не подымаютсо иксы было бы супер да и сам бы потом попытался понять что кчему.
Кстати етот последний лог от Envy.

ШАс качаю последные дрова под видео и надыбал интерсный лин и как я его сразу не увидел http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/173.14.12/README/index.html

Много чего прояснилось и думаю ишо прояснитсо как дочитаю )

У меня такая строчка только одна, и после нее дальше идет инициализация. Я погуглил на тему этих повторяющихся строк, но ничего полезного не нашел. Можно попытаться выяснить, че такое этот "GPU GART" - хоть примерная область, где возникает проблема, будет понятна.

ЗЫ насчет установки дров с оф. сайта и руками - в "HowTo & FAQ" есть здоровенная тема про установку NVIDIA таким способом. Там нужно перед установкой хорошенько почистить систему от предыдущих дров NVIDIA. Это было сделано?

ЗЫ насчет установки дров с оф. сайта и руками - в "HowTo & FAQ" есть здоровенная тема про установку NVIDIA таким способом. Там нужно перед установкой хорошенько почистить систему от предыдущих дров NVIDIA. Это было сделано?

Какая именно установка их тут есть два типа

Ай нид Хэлп.
У меня nvidia gf 6600 . я не могу установить драйвера нормально. Всё пробывал,  но  достиг лишь "nv" .
3д ускорения нет. А когда выставляю "nvidia" в ксорге иксы не запускаются.
А ещё вот это
