Глючит Wicd 1.6.1

Здравствуйте!

Была у меня проблема с Wi-Fi, решил ее установкой Wicd. Установил версию 1.5.9, версия ядра была 2.6.31-14-generic. Интернет работал, как часы, после обновления ядра до 2.6.31-17-generic обновился Wicd до 1.6.1 и начались проблемы. Загружается Ubuntu 9.10, Интернет есть. Загружаю браузер, открываю один сайт и подключение обрывается. Кликаю по иконке Wicd и вижу, что он не видит уже беспроводные сети. Пробовал снова установить NetworkManager - не помогло. Сейчас исчу альтернативу этим приложениям и подумываю о ручных настройках Wi-Fi.

Будут какие-то мнения/советы?

Посмотрите в настройках Wicd - какие имена интерфейсов прописаны для проводного и беспроводного и сравните их с теми что выдает ifconfig -a.

У меня эти имена постоянно разные были при работе с флешки на разных машинах. И симптомы были именно такими -  не видит ни одной сети.
