Настройка SSH

Здравствуйте!
Не могу понять, почему не получается зайти под учетной записью root.
Думаю, что проблема в конфиг. файле ssh, но никак не могу понять, что не так. Почитал различные источники, но решения пока не нашел.
Команда ssh -v localhost выводит следующее:

Подскажите, пожалуйста, что можно или нужно сделать, чтобы отладить ssh?

0. Под рутом работать нельзя. Умные люди придумали sudo.
1. Учетная запись root в Ubuntu по умолчанию заблокирована.
2. У вас в конфиге запрещен логин рутом.

Basay17, уважаемый. Вы хоть читаете что пишут в самом файле конфигурации, или берете данные с потолка, а потом же с потолка пытаетесь дебажить?

SSHD (ssh сервер) у Вас запущен на 2222 порту

Клиент по умолчанию пытается подключится к стандартному 22.

ssh: connect to host localhost port 22: Connection refused

Наверное надо
