Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
-Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
-Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
-Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
-Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! UUID=10972859-...-...-...-... does not exist. Dropping to a shell!
BusyBox v1.21.1 ...

Windows
dpkg --get-selections | grep grub
grub-common install
grub-gfxpayload-lists install
grub-pc install
grub-pc-bin install
grub2-common install
grub2-theme-mint install
sudo update-grub
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `/cow'.

fsck.ext4: Not a directory while trying to open /dev/sda9/
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a valid ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
or
e2fsck -b 32768 <device>
