Новая видеокарта (ati radeon 3850) - чёрный экран [решено]

ubuntu 8.10 32bit была видюха 7600GT, вот купил се новую ati radeon 3850, результат - чёрный экран, нужна помощь

Загружаешься в single mode (он же recovery mode) - это в начале загрузки он предлагает жать Esc, и там надо выбрать, что надо.
Оттуда из консоли выполняешь

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorgХотя, там вроде даже есть пункт меню - переконфигурировать X-сервер - тоже подойдет

Спасибо. Очень доходчиво и ясно. Вот только видеокарта от Intel сразу в голову не пришла, несмотря на все её опендрова. Просто сейчас у меня стоит 915i на 128Мб. Такое чудесное убожество... Или я просто другого не видел

помню, долго я маялся с атишной карточкой... 
Дл начала лучше сделать так:
заходишь в рутовую консоль, редактируешь файл:

vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf(vim - редактор для новичка совсем непонятный, говорят, nano попроще, но я им не пользовался)
ищешь строчку вида Section "Device", где внутори написано, что это видеокарта.
Ставишь там Driver "vesa".
Перезагружаешься или пишешь в консоли exit, после этого идешь в графику - должна появится.

Твоя задача для облегчения обновления и включения ускорения загрузиться в графике в режиме веса.  странно - после команды
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
графика должна была загрузиться(там от тебя сейчас  минимум действий надо - табы , галочки (пробелы) да ентеры жми).

а потом обновление(устанвока) всего что связано с fglrx

1. удаляем старые дрова(все что установлено связанное с fglrx).
2. sudo apt-get install build-essential fakeroot dh-make debhelper debconf libstdc++5 dkms
3. sudo sh ati-driver-installer-8-6-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/hardy  файл дров конечно перед этим копируем в домашнюю папку
4. sudo dpkg -i xorg-driver-fglrx_8.501-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb xorg-driver-fglrx-dev_8.501-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb fglrx-kernel-source_8.501-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb fglrx-amdcccle_8.501-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb
5. sudo aticonfig --initial
6. reset



и собственно включение драйвера fglrx(в xorg должно быть fglrx).
