К сожалению глюки с клавиатурой при включенном xneur-e остались , например в Xmoto, выключишь демон, все работает как ннужно.

Угу. Как я понял, стало работать в "выпадающих комбобоксах".
Приходилось жать Esc (закрыть комбо), выделять и Shift+Break
Тоже обрадовался первые N минут, пока даемон не вылетел.

Ура, понял почему вылетает. Как раз из-за подгонки под Оперу.
Для поиска, например в гугле, в адресной строке пишу "g" и далее слово поиска, но чтоб не заморачиваться, поставил автозамену "п" на "g " и Space на запуск автосокращений (а надо было обе буквы на поиск настроить - осёл). Как тока Space с автосокращений снёс "вылетоны" прекратились. Вот "злополучные" настройки:

Готов представить ночную сборку новой версии xneur 0.9.3.
Что нового:
1. Добавлена возможность выполнения пользовательских команд. Например, на Super+Alt+t можно повесить вызов gnome-terminal.
2. Добавлена возможность навесить на стандартные действия xneur не только звуковое, но и визуальное
оформление (OSD).
3. Добавлены новые действия, на которые вешаются звуки и OSD.
4. Немного подпилен kxneur  - он теперь поддерживает сохранение большей части настроек, но не все. Тут нужна помощь программиста с опытом разработки на Qt.
5. Хорошо доработан gxneur, добавлены всякие удобства. Разумеется, gxneur поддерживает все возможности xneur.
6. Теперь используется новая библиотека для отрисовки флажка рядом с курсором. Она поддерживает все самые распространенные форматы изображений. Но старый вариант поддержки только xpm тоже сохранен - используйте опции конфигурации прии сборке.
7. Добавлена интернационализация xneur и его русский перевод.

Возми на вооружение когда при компиляции получаеш ошибки такого плана сразу в поиск aptitude search основно имя тоеть в твоем случаии xosd а потом смотриш какие пакеты найдены обычно надо ставить пакеты с приставкой dev

Во-первых, /usr управляется менеджером пакетом, если собирать самому то только в /usr/local
Во-вторых, если хочется иконок - ставьте из пакетов.
