illidan я же сказал, после втыкания камеры. либо весь вывод dmesg. в этом куске нет ничего про камеру.

беглый поиск говорит, что камера должна работать с драйвером gspca (штатным или более свежим -- надо выяснять), а так же то, что драйвер ov51x-jpeg из рецепта http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=690666 скорее всего не соберётся.

ядро 2.6.24 -- что за древность? 8.04? тогда инструкция http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=690666 поможет. для 8.04 и 8.10 она актуальна, в 9.04 драйвер скорее всего уже не соберётся.
