Сетевой Cannon и драйвера РЕШЕНО

Такая проблема есть сетевой (на W7) принтер Canon PixmaIP4700. Скачал драйвера с офф. сайта, установил. По сети (Администрирование-Печать-Добавить) принтер прекрасно видится, предлагает установить драйвера, выдает список, а там конкретно моей модели нет. Соседние (4600 и 5000) не работают. Как решить сию проблему? Ubuntu 11.04 (на 10.04 та же проблема была)

С сайта Canon легко скачиваются драйвера на вашу модель. В чем у вас проблема?

в том, что после установки в списке драйверов их не появляется
Я выбираю принтер, который я хочу установить (через сеть-самба), нажимаю установить, Ubuntu выдает список производителей, я выбираю кэнон, но в списке кэноновских моделей моей модели нет.
Я так понимаю, что после установки должен появиться мой принтер в списке моделей? или я что-то не так делаю?
Если запустить с терминала, он его ищет, но не может найти

The printer registration has not been completed.
Register the printer manually by using the lpadmin command.

Т.е. через оболочку видит принтер, но не видит драйвер, а через терминал видит драйвер, но не видит принтер

Нет, по тому что не понял о чем это

Вопрос решился с другой стороны http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1453208

Вольный пересказ: качаем файл, распаковываем, скармливаем при установке ppd файл и работаем.

Самое главное - сетевой принтер в названии не должен содержать пробелов!!! (это какое-то нововведение 11-й версии  )
