Не загружется раб стол на убунте 12.04.
Ставлю ос,затем ставлю делаю апдейт через :
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

затем ставлю дрова на видеокарту :
wget www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/ati-driver-installer-11-6-x86.x86_64.run

sudo sh ati-driver-installer-12-4-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/precise
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo aticonfig -f --initial --adapter=all
sudo reboot

Делаю ребут и после ребута раб стло не загружается,работает только консоль.

видеокарта radeon 7970

Помогите,я уже устал переустанавливать Ubuntu,на 9 разу у меня уже нервы не выдержали

В Кедах, помнится, я это лечил сносом папки .kde в своей домашней. С потерей настроек Рабочего стола и менюшек. В Гноме, я думаю, это будет папка .gnome Но поскольку я не очень в этом уверен, то лучше эту папку не сносить совсем, а переименовать.

 Что в логах ксорга? Думаю, драйвер на видеокарту не встал.

Кстати, да! Иксы вообще стартуют или нет? В самом первом посте написано "Не загружется раб стол на убунте". Я уже автоматически представил себе, что Иксы стартуют нормально, но не отображается сам Рабочий стол (а такое в моей практике бывало).

Пока попробовал удалить дрова и поставить как советуют тут https://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/, в итоге получилось вот это

Посмотри xorg.conf в нем количество секций "Monitor" "Device" "Screen" должно соответствовать количеству видеокарт, если не так попробуй прописать руками
