Сканер HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 не сканирует :-)

в списке поддерживаемых устройств наш сканнер отсутствует, однако присутствует более старшая (и более дорогая :-) модель HP Scanjet Pro 3500 f1 Flatbed Scanner

Можно ли как то обмануть систему (заставить использовать драйвер от HP Scanjet Pro 3500 f1 Flatbed Scanner) или это не возможно?

написано, но без результатно.

Подскажите, что ещё можно попробовать или может кто решил проблему с таким сканером. Или пока он не появиться (именно эта модель) в HPLIP то ничего и сделать нельзя?

Не хотелось бы обратно на Windows уходить, я всё что нужно было сделал, а вот из-за сканера засада :-(

так дровишек-то под него для линукса неть...
на одном из ресурсов советуют попробовать другой софт, например, CUPS Gutenprint...

ну, или поменять сканер на тот, который точно заведется под линуксом у секретаря.

Поменять к сожалению никак... :-(

Что то я или не там смотрю или в CUPS Gutenprint есть только поддержка принтеров?

gilmor, тут я помощник не очень. Поэтому гугл вам в помощь.
(например, моя пиксма от кэнона, работает со скангеаром, а не сайном. Сайн ее в упор не видит! Глубоко не копал в тему, ибо кэнон выпустил дровишки и все заработало.)

Нет, нельзя. Нет дров под вашу модель.
У меня года три ХР в в виртуалке была, только из за сканера.

Да, конечно.
Я так и делал, пока мой сканер не сломался.
По сегодняшним меркам ХР много места не занимает.
Антивирус не нужен, в интернет доступа я ему не давал.
Кстати было даже удобнее сканировать чем в винде.
По той причине что при сканировании в Windows,
во время сканирования окно сканера вылезало на весь экран, и не давало его свернуть.
По этому делать в это время ничего нельзя было, тупо сидеть и ждать завершения сканирования.

Спасибо большое за подсказку, всё заработало!

Похоже на сегодняшний день это единственный способ заставить этот сканер работать в Linux.

От себя добавлю (для тех кто будет решать проблему таким же образом), не забудьте добавить пользователя под которым будете запускать виртуальную машину и сканировать в группу vboxusers

sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers $USERлично у меня без этого сканер не определялся.

P.S. Буду следить за появлением драйвера для этого сканера в HPLIP, о чем сообщу в этой теме... Но чувствую ждать придётся долго :-)

Это не вероятно, но факт...
Вышел HPLIP 3.19.1 в котором:

Added support for the following new ScanJet Device:
- HP Scanjet Pro 2500 f1

Всем доброго времени суток.
Итак, как говорится "вторая часть Марлезонского балета":
Пока я собирался с мыслями вышла версия: HPLIP 3.19.3 и не смотря на добавленный драйвер для сканера, hplip в упор его не видит (переставлял во все доступные на материнской плате USB-порты, причем принтер HP LaserJet 1010 видит и устанавливает без проблем). Думал что принтер мешает определить сканер... отключил и вытащил шнур USB от сканера...

В общем, в очередной раз прошу помощи опытного сообщества, что я делаю не так и как нужно сделать правильно?

P.S. Просто реально компьютер очень древний, менять его никто не хочет пока что, а работать по описанной выше схеме через Virtual Box не удобно (очень долго все загружается).... Хотелось бы без "костылей" обойтись, тем более если появился драйвер.

В общем какой то капец с hplip 19.3...
Пользователь добавил сообщение 12 Апреля 2019, 10:12:55:Только что пробовал установить hplip 3.19.3 на другом компьютере, более новом... результат такой же: lsusb видит сканер, но hplip упорно продолжает игнорировать наличие сканера в системе.
Я уже даже не знаю что дальше делать.
