lspci
Там ищешь как называется твое аудио устройство. Чтото вроде Realtec Audio Codec ALC8860. Это я от фонаря написал, но будет похоже.
Потом берешь имя этого устройства и ищешь в интернете рядом со словами Linux Ubuntu. На английском.
Решение скорее всего найдешь.
